Room 11 - “Enrique Astengo” Day Hospital
It provides lightly invasive surgeries (gastroenterology, ophthalmology, trauma) with a one-day hospital stay, chemotherapy for cancer patients.
Date of completion: March to November 2003.
Financing: the work was partly paid for by the donation of US $ 300,000 made by Mrs. María Antonia Astengo de Barrutia between 2002 and 2003, and by the Ministry of Health of the Province. The total cost amounted to about 2 million pesos.
Execution and technical direction: CPN Aldo H Lattuca & Asoc. Horizontal Property / Architects Fontan, Ferri, Compagnucci, Moscato.
Works carried out: comprehensive reconstruction of Room XI and arrangements in Room X and subsoil, heating and air conditioning circuit, construction of three operating rooms, two temporary hospitalization rooms, chemotherapy room, meeting room, biosafety cabinet and changing rooms, installation of two latest generation elevators, internal connection to the General Surgery Room.
